NSCAD's Open House is your chance to explore our programs, experience what campus life is like, and learn how to build a strong application.
Explore our Port Campus and connect with current studens through studio visits and pop-up booths, where you’ll see what they’ve been working on at NSCAD.

If you choose to participate in a portfolio review, you’ll meet one-on-one with a faculty member to receive helpful and encouraging feedback on your portfolio as you prepare your application. Whether you are applying for Fall 2027 and have a robust collection of artworks, or you are still a few years away and are just starting to build up a portfolio, our feedback can give you a gentle push in the right direction.

Workshops, presentations, and portfolio reviews are planned for prospective students and their families, with a full agenda and details to follow.
This is an in-person event taking place in Halifax, Nova Scotia. If you cannot attend in-person, but you would like to speak with a Recruitment Officer about putting your application or study at NSCAD, please select this option in the registration form.

We hope to see you at NSCAD's Open House!

NSCAD University is in Mi’kma’ki on the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq Nation. This territory is covered by the “Treaties of Peace and Friendship” which Mi’kmaq and Wolastoqiyik (Maliseet) peoples first signed with the British Crown in 1725. The treaties did not deal with surrender of lands and resources but in fact recognized Mi’kmaq and Wolastoqiyik (Maliseet) title and established the rules for what was to be an ongoing relationship between nations.
