Join us at Cape Breton Centre for Craft & Design for Portfolio Day, a free event designed to help you take the next step toward studying art and design.
You’ll meet one-on-one with one of our recruitment officers to receive helpful and encouraging feedback on your portfolio as you prepare your application. Whether you are applying for Fall 2027 and have a robust collection of artworks, or you are still a few years away and are just starting to build up a portfolio, our feedback can give you a gentle push in the right direction.
While you're waiting, drop into an art workshop led by a NSCAD alum from your community!
We are hosting two sessions:
Friday, November 27 - 5pm-8pm
Saturday, November 28 - 12pm-3pm

This is an in-person event, located in Sydney, Cape Breton. If you cannot attend in-person, but you would like to speak with a recruitment officer about putting together your application, please select this option in the registration form.

NSCAD University is in Mi’kma’ki on the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq Nation. This territory is covered by the “Treaties of Peace and Friendship” which Mi’kmaq and Wolastoqiyik (Maliseet) peoples first signed with the British Crown in 1725. The treaties did not deal with surrender of lands and resources but in fact recognized Mi’kmaq and Wolastoqiyik (Maliseet) title and established the rules for what was to be an ongoing relationship between nations.
